There are a few ways to make this wheel. First I use one of the
two circle rotation sheets below. To make this one, I copied the
eight circle rotation sheet onto an overhead. Then, I used one of
my teammate's large circle buckets to make a circle on a large sheet of
poster board. I used the overhead to help me line up where the
divisions would go. Using a yard stick, I made the lines.
Then I printed out clipart and words and glued it on accordingly.
I then enlarged the circle template and colored each of the divisions
accordingly. In the past, I made a board by enlarging the circle
template on our copy machine. Then, I printed off clipart and
wording and glued it onto the circle. Then, I took the circle with
the clipart to Fed-Ex/Kinkos and had it enlarged to poster size.
It was not as solid, so I had to attached the paper onto poster board
and color the clip art. To help preserve all of the wheels, I
laminated them. My old wheel was really big, so I had to cut it in
half to fit it through the laminating machine. This wheel just
fit!

How do/did you
start your own website?

Wow, I will try my best to give
as much information as I can for this now. I
plan to add more information in the future. I started out by using
myschoolonline.com for a classroom website when
I was completing my technology course for my
Masters. They had templates and just required
you to fill in your information. Scholastic now
has the same thing. However, I became intrigued
by all of the AMAZING teacher sites out there
that were definitely not done with fill in the
blank templates. I then played around with
Microsoft Front Page and taught myself (with the
help of online resources) how to make my own
pages, link them and find graphics. I had an
older version of Front Page and when I looked to
upgrade it, Microsoft discontinued it. However,
Microsoft came out with Microsoft Expression Web
and there are some free 60 day trials to test
out the product. Front Page is compatible
to Expression Web and both I feel are very easy
to use. I did not take any classes for making
the site, and I have limited knowledge, but I
keep learning and exploring more daily! I
also created my own domain name
(www.misscampioni.com) through
LunarPages. You can get free domain
names and website hosts, but you have limited
bandwidth. I paid for mine (a very reasonable
amount) so I could have the photos and graphics
load faster.
Here are some great resources that I
found were helpful for me:
