At the beginning of the school year, all of the star
students will be selected and assigned a date. Each
student will receive a calendar with the assigned
dates. The calendar will be available online once it
is made. The week before your assigned date, you will
be given a scrapbook page to design and contribute to
our classroom Star Student Scrapbook for the year. You
are welcome to decorate this page any way you would
like. Please remember that you will NOT get this page
back at the end of the year, so please make additional
copies of pictures you want to put on the page or get
permission from your parents/guardians before you add
any pictures or items onto the scrapbook page. Please
only decorate one side of the scrapbook page. Also, make
sure that your decorations or pictures fit on the page
completely, or I will not be able to fit the scrapbook
page into our class book! You can use the white page
that is given to you as a template and replace the paper
with any other type of paper (other scrapbook paper,
construction paper, etc). On the day of your
presentation (typically a Friday), you will bring your
decorated scrapbook page back to school to share with
the students. You will also fill out a Star Student
Poster on Friday and share your responses with the
class. At the end of the school day, the poster will be
hung on the bulletin board in the hallway with the other
posters from the third grade classrooms and remain on
display for the next week!
