• Some of the curriculum programs my school district uses are: Social Studies Alive, Everyday Mathematics, Foss Science and 6+1 Traits of Writing.

• Our district also believes in a Balanced Literacy Approach. This includes, but is not limited to, Guided Reading, Shared Reading, Independent Reading and Writer's Workshop.

• Our school also did book studies on the following books and we have all used many of the ideas from them to enhance our curriculum: 6 + 1 Traits of Writing by Ruth Culham, Reading with Meaning by Debbie Miler, Strategies that Work by Stephanie Harvey and Anne Goudvis,  and Writer's Workshop by Katie Wood Ray.
